Anneen Church

Church is a lecturer at the Centre for Teaching and Learning at the University of the Free State. Her main task is coordinating the English and Afrikaans Academic Literacy courses for first year students. As a teacher, she is passionate about working with students to develop their understanding of academic language and letting them practice using their academic literacy skills to ultimately help facilitate their academic growth. As an aspiring academic, she hopes to continue studying the interaction of language, community and technology in various contexts, but particularly in a South African teaching and learning context. She is currently registered for a PhD in language testing.
