Dr Jean-Pierre Basson

Dr Jean-Pierre Basson is a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Architecture at Nelson Mandela University in Gqeberha, South Africa, where he has been lecturing for the past 11 years. He holds a PhD in Construction Management and currently leads the first-year design studio.

 

Dr Basson also teaches architectural presentation techniques and computer usage at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He specialises in digital construction and workflows (BIM), and interdisciplinary education. His research focuses on leveraging digital technologies to enhance architectural design and construction, as well as promoting collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to education.
