Dr Ngwenya is a post-doctoral research fellow at the University of South Africa (UNISA), Department of Information Science. She completed her PhD in Information Science in 2022, with a thesis titled: Towards a framework for the diffusion of knowledge on Intellectual Property in universities in Zimbabwe. Dr Ngwenya’s research interests include intellectual property awareness, education and training; knowledge management; information provision; information literacy; open science.
Dr Ngwenya has lectured at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), Zimbabwe since 2012 and has also served as the Chairperson for the Department of Publishing Studies and the Publications Committee at the same university. She also participates in numerous community activities such the World Intellectual Property day commemorations, UNILISA conferences, ZIMLA conferences, ZIBF indabas, as well as, workshops, seminars and conferences on Information Science related subjects.
