Thozama Mandindi, passionately known as Thozi, is a scholar of Science and Education, with qualifications in Education, child-psychology and PGDipHE [Post-Graduate Diploma in Higher Education- Rhodes University], as well as her areas of specialisation and interest namely; Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, Food Technology and Ethno-Botanical Sciences, obtained from [UNIZUL-RSA; University of Western Sydney- Australia; University of Fort Hare-RSA, respectively]. She has various Certificates under her name, so Thozi is a well-versed scholar on a broad scope of education, knowledge and skills.
She has lectured in different institutions in SA and abroad. Held management positions at both high school and university. A researcher and a published author in the afore-mentioned fields She is currently a Senior Lecturer in Applied Sciences at WSU. She has previously led SoTL at the WSU Directorate of Learning and Teaching, as Senior Research Associate, as well as lead a School of Technology, comprising three Departments: Fine Arts, Fashion and Design and Consumer Sciences, as Director of School, after she had been HOD for Department of Consumer Sciences.
