Warda Abrahams is a Senior Lecturer within the School of Education (SoE) at the Independent Institute of Education Varsity College, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She plays a pivotal role in facilitating the teaching and learning portfolio, overseeing diverse responsibilities that include delivering quality education, promoting student development, and creating an engaging learning environment. In addition to her lecturing duties, she actively contributes to initiatives such as student engagement, lecturer training, and strategies to enhance student satisfaction and retention.
Her research interests are focused on pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning, with a particular emphasis on didactic modules and best practices for integrating ICT in classrooms. Recently, she has concentrated on exploring reflective practices related to the technology integration of pre-service teachers. In recognition of her contributions to research, she was honoured as an emerging researcher at her institution in 2023. Warda is currently pursuing a PhD at Rhodes University.
